We have a Bruker D8 Venture dual source (microfocus Cu, Mo) with high efficiency PHOTON II detector for chemical and biological crystallography. The instrument is attached with an Oxford Cobra cryo-device which uses dry air directly taken from air to generate a temperature range of 80-400 K with excellent stability.
We have a Bruker D8 Advance Powder X-rays diffractometer equipped with high resolution LynxEye XE detector and a Cu radiation source. This instrument also has additional accessories for capillary and high temperature studies for upto 1600°C. We also have a PDF4+ database for screening and data mining of powder samples
Our lab hosts Perkin Elmer STA 6000 simultaneous TGA/DSC which can perform simultaneous measurement of weight changes and heat flow of the sample. The instrument featured with advanced sensor technology and proven compact furnace that together gives better temperature control, faster cool-down time and more consistent measurement.
We have an Agilent Technologies Cary Eclipse Spectrophotometer which uses a Xenon flash lamp for superior sensitivity, high signal-to-noise, and fast kinetics. It can measure the emission of light from samples in four different modes. Using Xenon lamp technology, it captures a data point every 12.5 ms and scans at 24,000 nm/min without peak shifts. We use this for all applications in academia, life sciences, biotechnology, chemicals, energy and food testing analyses. A BioMelt package provides the capability of thermal denaturation studies.
Our home laboratory is equipped with Anton Paar Monowave 400 microwave synthesis system which can synthesis reaction with operating volumes from 0.5 mL to 20 mL at up to 300°C temp. & 30 bar (435 psi) pressure with 850 W Microwave output power at 0 rpm to 1200 rpm Magnetic stirring. With the help of built-in camera a chemist can follow the reaction progress.
We have an Olympus SZX10 microscope for selection of crystalline samples which is equipped with a hot stage and computer interface. With hot stage microscopy, phase changes can be studied upto 600 °C. With a maximum numerical aperture (NA) of 0.2, it can produce a resolution of 600 line pairs per millimeter and a zoom ratio of 10:1.The trinocular tubes of SZX10 provide comfortable and efficient observation with optimized convergence angle that reduces the eye and neck strain. SZX10 is equipped with a hot stage and DP74 high resolution camera for capturing live images.
We also have a Olympus CX43P high resolving microscope.
For synthetic purposes, we have a Labtech Rotary Evaporator. In addition to this we have a number of smaller equipments like UV spectrophotometers, hot plates, weighing balances, micropippetesetc. All the equipments in the lab are connected with dedicated uninterrupted power suppliers for smooth operations. The lab also has a dedicated 60 kVA power generator to ensure power supply in case of any power failure from the national grid.
