Umer has defended his PhD thes. He has been working on the crystal engineering and charge density studies of anti malarial drug Pyrimethamine. His work has already been published in Acta Cryst C. (03 publications). He uses high resolution crystallographic and computational methods to study the electrostatic properties of antimalarial drugs.
